The teens also reported to feeling high levels of stress. In response, on October 1st Madison Youth and Family Services held a suicide awareness event on the town green, providing information, and messages of hope to dozens of attendees. The messages continued thought October and into November with a billboard along Route One on November 7th, and a display of while flags on the town green, representing the 11% of Madison teens who report that they have attempted suicide. Each flag has a black semicolon, representing that their story isn’t over yet. MADE & MYFS Chalkboard
